Wellington was used for a number of small shots, including the hobbits on the road to Bree and the scene with the Ringwraith/Black Rider.

You can also visit the Weta Offices, check out the Embassy Theatre where both world premieres (and hopefully the third, but that’s in dispute as I write) were held and check out the Chocolate Fish Cafe in Seatoun, where the stars ate a lot, and which has the only “Beware waiters crossing” road sign I’ve ever seen (as they have tables across the road).
