Ireland benefits from Star Wars link

Ireland has a long link with movies, although it may not be the first place you think of for set-jetting. It’s on the rise though, with Game of Thrones being shot both north and south of the border, and now Star Wars has joined in.

As the BBC reports, fans were eager to see the likes of Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and, of course, Mark Hamill as they arrived. They have also been flooding to Malin Head, where scenes are currently being shot.

All this while shooting, so imagine what it’ll be like after the film is released. The authorities have even had to create temporary no-fly zones around the locations to avoid prying eyes.
